Ignite Tomorrow

Introduction Ignite Tomorrow was a one-day hackathon hosted by the Manav Rachna Innovation and Incubation Foundation (MRIIF) that encouraged interdisciplinary problem-solving among students. The event combined rapid prototyping, mentor-guided sessions, pitch practice, and a final demo round judged by a panel of faculty and industry professionals. Participants formed teams, worked on defined problem statements or their own ideas, and presented functional prototypes or concept demos at closing. Key Highlights Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Students from technical, creative and business backgrounds formed cross-functional teams which improved solution design and pitch quality. Variety of Solutions: Projects included (examples to be adjusted to actual list) — an AI-based attendance/assessment tool, a low-cost health-monitoring device, a sustainable waste-management app, and an edtech microlearning platform. Mentor Sessions: Experienced mentors provided targeted guidance on product-market fit, prototype polishing, and pitch refinement; several teams pivoted their approach after mentor feedback. Live Demos & Pitches: Teams delivered concise 3–5 minute demos followed by Q&A; the format highlighted technical work and commercial viability. Judging & Feedback: Judges scored teams on innovation, feasibility, user value, technical implementation, and presentation; constructive feedback was given to most teams to help them progress. Conclusion Ignite Tomorrow successfully achieved its core objective of fostering interdisciplinary innovation among students and producing early-stage, demo-ready solutions. The event not only showcased strong technical and creative talent but also created pathways for sustained support through mentorship and incubation.
